Sadako Technologies of Barcelona, Spain, is an artificial intelligence and robotics company that is focused on the solid waste industry.  The company has developed computer vision combined with robotics to complement current industrial equipment and human practices in the sorting of recyclable materials, improving recovery rates while lowering costs and improving safety.  Their system consists of a high-speed industrial robotic arm with a grasping by suction system, plus a state of the art computer vision system, that recognizes valuable material in the images taken by a combination of cameras.  We think that this innovation may be transformational with regard to the economics of recycling.
